Restaurant bewertenGreat place to eat! My friends I went for breakfast the end of June. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Loved the pancakes there was more than we could eat so we took leftovers home. I would like to go again for dinner. Also seems like a nice venue for showers, family dinners, etc.
Every single time we have come to The James Eatery we have been so pleasantly surprised! The food is amazing, the staff is amazing, and the atmosphere is so comfortable and elegant! The chef always comes out to ask how our meals are and is always so prideful of his work! We have been back for a few birthdays and an anniversary and we hope that The James Eatery is around for many more!!! :
Had a marvelous experience here. The restaurant is well-lit and airy; the staff are attentive and friendly (the chef himself came over for a quick chat). The food is delicious and you get excellent value for your money.
I hesitate to write a sterling review of this place I feel like it 's my secret restaurant that no one else has heard about, and it 's going to get very crowded when the rest of you discover it! My husband and I stopped for brunch on a Saturday (please note, the restaurant doesn 't open until 11 am on a Saturday); we shared the space with one other couple. The decor has been updated tastefully; I remember this restaurant as 'Beefeaters ' in the 1960 's, so was so nice to see it spiffed up and brought into the new century. Our waiter, Josh, was very knowledgeable about the preparation and particulars of the menu 's offering he could not be better at his job, too hard to find that elusive mix of attentiveness without obtrusiveness in most waitstaff. This guy is spot on. Anyway, Josh recommended the Florentine Benedict for me with a side of tomatoes broiled with parmesan cheese. The chef has perfected hollandaise sauce. I hate when it 's too tart or too runny; a hard balance to achieve with hollandaise. It was perfect, just the right amount on plate without the eggs and spinach swimming in the sauce. The tomatoes had a little bit of kick not too much enough to get your attention and make you finish every bite. My husband had the 'omelet of the day '; a spinach omelet that I had to help him eat, hehheh. The potatoes served were fresh and nicely browned, I would have liked more of them to take home. We had had our limit of coffee already that morning, otherwise the French pressed coffee would have made it to our table as well. I love finding those 'new ' places with chefs and waitstaff eager to please. I 'm especially impressed with a menu that doesn 't try too hard to be all things for everyone. Just offer great food, thoughtfully prepared and service done well and I will keep coming back. This is a diamond in the Lehigh Valley for those of us who like food that isn 't over the top but just damn good. I can 't wait to go back for lunch and/or dinner!
This place is great. When you walk in, it feels comfortable. The staff is great. Very attentive and friendly. The food! The food is make you curl your toes good. Can't wait to go back.
