Monty's - East Lindsey

We researched the best fish and chips in Mablethorpe and discovered that Monty’s comes highly recommended. It’s conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the Mablethorpe ice cream shop, tucked away on the corner of a side street. We opted to sit outside since we had our two dogs with us, and the weather was beautiful, though there’s also a dining room available. We each ordered the large haddock with mushy peas, and the fish was freshly cooked in beef dripping, resulting in a wonderfully flaky texture with a light batter. We even got a jumbo sausage for our dogs, and the lady who served us kindly chopped it up and let it cool for them. I would definitely recommend Monty’s and will certainly return!

You can always expect a warm welcome here, along with a great selection of freshly fried dishes and pies. Whether you choose to dine in or take your food to go, the decision is yours. With delicious food at affordable prices right by the seaside, what more could you ask for?

The best fish and chips around for miles! I make sure to call in and order from them every week whenever I can. The staff is fantastic, and the owner is pretty great too!

We enjoyed a fantastic meal of fish, chips, and mushy peas today. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service in the dining room was prompt. I was visiting Mablethorpe on my birthday, and the owners kindly offered me a complimentary can of soda when they learned it was my special day. Thank you so much! We hope to return very soon.
