Restaurant bewertenThe amount of meat on the cheesesteak is a disappointment.
Second time to order from this place and the food was good. I got a cheesesteak and an olive burger, the cheesesteak was okay not bad other places do it way better but the olive burger was so tasty. Highly recommended to have an olive burger. The fries are also average not that much.
Ex-Philly resident here doing my due diligence trying cheesesteaks around here. I enjoyed it and would return. Flavor was great and I enjoyed that they had some interesting variations like the Pazzo, but the bun was lacking. I try not to be overly critical or a cheesesteak snob though, and I’m still happy to say I enjoyed it. In no particular order, Capo’s, Joe’s On Jolly’s bulgogi cheesesteak, and Steakhouse Philly’s nacho cheesesteak are my favorites in the area over the larger chains’ steaks.I wish the roll/bun was a little flakier with a little more chew to it on the outside crust like an Amoroso or Liscio roll, but they used a very soft white hoagie roll that was closer to a hot dog bun texture or a texture similar to potato bread. They could have also put the roll on the grill over the meat for a little while before serving like most cheesesteak spots do in Philadelphia and NJ. That being said, I still really liked the bite and this was definitely one of the better-seasoned cheesesteaks I’ve had in the area. Meat was somewhere between ribboned and chipped/chopped meat, which is what I like vs slabs of ribeye. Cheese was blended well into the meat but still had little leftover gobs near the top which is perfect. Onions were fried and were a good size that I’m used to.I appreciate that their default cheesesteak doesn’t have cream cheese and green peppers like so many places have around here, but I do think it’s strange they go with Swiss cheese over American for their normal steak. It looked like you could choose something else though, which I’ll do next time.Staff was friendly and immediately said hi and helped me as I walked in, so there was no wait at all for my pick up order, which I was happy with since all of campus was really busy tonight and I didn’t pay the meter for my parking spot near CVS so I wanted to rush back.Cajun fries were very good too, even after sitting in a to-go box for a while. Heavily seasoned and none of the fries were bare.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This summer my boyfriend, baby, and I went to Capos to get smash burgers. There was a new person working as we could see him asking the women that is a manager that was talking on the phone to her boyfriend at the time giving the man poor answers to his questions when he was trying to cook our food. He really did try his best but we got out to our car and checked and we asked for extra mushrooms and extra everything on the burgers. The burgers were literally crumbles of meat on the burger with nothing we asked on it. So I called them and asked if we could come in to get a remake because we didn’t get what we wanted and the burger was little crumbles. The man first off said yes he can make us new ones and what was wrong exactly and I couldn’t even get any words out before the women (manager) proceeded to tell me that they can’t make us new burgers and she saw him put everything on it. Then I asked if I could get a refund then because we hadn’t ate anything and she still proceeded to tell us no she can’t give a refund. So we brought the food back to them and she was still being very difficult. She was really trying to tell us what we asked for and that he did everything correctly because she was right there. I asked the manager for the owners number and name so I could contact them about the issue and she told me that that’s personal information and that she can’t give us that either. There was a back and fourth and then she ended up calling me back and saying “Well this one time we can give you a refund.”
The flavor on their meat is sweet and not what I'm looking for in a cheese steak.
