The Painted Barn - East Anglia

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. We stopped in for a drink and a cake while out for a walk. It's a good idea to make a reservation if you want to be sure to have a table for lunch, as they are quite popular. We ordered several dairy-free options for my son who has allergies. The dairy-free vegan puff pastry roll was fantastic, filled with a flavorful Moroccan spiced sauce. The orange cake was light, moist, and tasty, and the chocolate date slice was a perfect balance of sweet and dark chocolate. My other son enjoyed his hot chocolate and brownie. The coffee and tea were of very good quality. Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos because we couldn't resist diving in and finishing every bite. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant by myself for a quick meal to see what it was like. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful location of being in the middle of a field. The dessert I had was delicious and the service was exceptional. My only small complaint was that, as a solo diner, I felt a bit ignored. However, considering the restaurant was busy with families and couples, I understand why they may have overlooked me. They were likely just trying to be considerate in case I was waiting for a friend to join me.

I had one of the best cheese scones ever at this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and happy. It's a delightful place to have tea and lunch. I will definitely be visiting again.

Love it here and it is so relaxing, always visit with my girlfriend. Most quality tasting coffee I've ever had and all the food is fresh delicious. Clearly talented staff. Been a few times and the staff always remember us. Absolutely recommend it if you come to Norfolk for anything, this place is a must. Try and book a table to avoid disappointment as it is popular!
