Freddies Fish Chips - Durham

Got kids sausage meals and fish and chips for me and my wife. Had a bad experience from a lot of chippy's around Durham. Gave Freddies a try, all the meals delicious. Staff very friendly and keen to help. Freddies will definitely be my Fish n Chip shop of choice from now on.

Visit this fish shop every Friday along with my husband always a warm welcome from Denise and her staff on entering shop they always know what our order is two lightly batted haddock) ready in five minutes.never had a bad portion of fish and chips yet recommend this place for fish and chips without any hesitation. The best fish and chips I've had in a long time! I was tempted to say they're the best in the Northeast, but that's subjective. However, they definitely rank in my top 5. The batter stays crisp, even when it’s been sitting for a while, which is impressive. I'm really puzzled by any negative reviews; I can't understand what might have disappointed those with supposedly high standards. Plus, there's currently a fantastic deal: 2 for 1 on large orders every Friday!

I visit this restaurant frequently, often stopping by for lunch after work, and it's consistently great! More than I can say for other places. The midday specials are fantastic—just £4 for a generous serving of chips, and the small fish is a really good size! I highly recommend it! I don't understand why the ratings are so low; it definitely deserves a perfect score!
