Roma Revolving - Durban

Absolutely brilliant. The food is amazingly delicious, large portions. The hosts are charismatic and friendly. The waiters and employees go out the way to make you feel at home. We eat here once a year and they still remember our orders and names.

Absolutely LIEBE Roma Revolving Resturant! I think this is the best fine restaurant in Durban and has maintained excellence and service. The service is impeccable and therefore I will always come back and support this amazing facility during my life (also for the delicious food). I praise the following people, Gino (one of the owners) You have always given my husband and I your attention to detail and pleasant presence in the restaurant. You will have your undivided attention at every visit and your love of food shows through your explanations about the ingredients and preparation of ROMA mouthwater meals. Gino, you make ROMA at home and I thank you. Secondly, to the chief of the pastry Gordon, you are a humble and extraordinary person. Your pastries are to die and combine that with your service I am absolutely grateful that after 39 years nothing has changed. You are a rare type of boss and I wish every restaurant had someone like you. Another pardon goes to Johnson, even if you didn't serve our table, you made sure we were seen and served without hesitation. People like you all make a setup what it is, always with a smile and your greatest effort. No matter where I live, I will come back and support you and your extraordinary staff! Now we go to dinner, you'll never go wrong, I've been here a few times and the food was always on top quality! The atmosphere is great with the Italian music that sets the mood with stunning views of the Durban port on the day or at night you will never be disappointed. Sometimes you get a very loud amount, but due to the type of seating you could never be affected. I am pleased that this is the only place in Durban that maintains its atmosphere as it should be for the price you pay. I was in other fine restaurants that were twice or maybe 3 times more expensive with poor service, no attention to detail and felt like I was on a fish market. ROMA was told when we sat that it was my birthday and on site she made my visit especially unlike other fine restaurants that did nothing, even if weeks in advance. So ROMA You are my favorite staff. They all make this restaurant the standard I rate today.

The ground floor entrance tells no tales. Enter the elevator, okay, antic pictures so what? Then exit the elevator and wow!, the sky high views welcome. The circular all glass room beckons. I was in the Durban revolving restaurant, one of 31 in the world. What a spectacle! Very brilliant deep rich red ambiance from the cafeteria curtains.All open to show the star spangled canvas of Durban night lights, of the harbour then the city centre then the south beach hotels moving ever so slowly into view as me and my hosts enjoyed delectable meals. The presence of waiters in hindsight were not intrusive like in other restaurants, I think it's because they only serve from the inner side of the room. My gaze not interrupted was captivated by the company and the marvel of the revolving restaurant.
