Restaurant bewertenA true institution! Stop and eat every time we get through!
Very recommended for Hamburger.. If you like hamburgers at all and are nearby, you should definitely try them. A really good hamburger. Something other than the usual. The burgers are served on a bungalow over the size of a Krystal (or White Castle) bungalow. The burgers are made of regular hamburger meat, not the pressed meat like Krystal. Thin in the middle and thinner at the edges. They tell you there are no pickles and no mayonnaise. Ketchup, mustard, onions and, if you want, hot sauce. Double means two small pieces Hamburger instead of one, but still on the same bungalow. Two pieces of meat fit nicely on the bungalow and seems approximately right. I didn't try. There is no menu here, not even a pirate list on the wall. Burgers from July 2011 are $1.05 for a single, 1.25 for a double and 1.75 for a triple. I didn't try or see how they were. Hot dogs are $1.05 and the hot dog seems to be just an ordinary hot dog. They offer soft drinks in cans and regular coke in glass bottles. No well. The place is small and thin; if someone sits on the counter, it would be hard to move on them; the place is so thin. The restaurant was opened for the first time in 1954 and is still in the same family as the original. At one point there were three restaurants, and now there is only one. Many parking spaces in what seems to be a closed car house right next door.
Jack's Hamburger. I grew up in Dublin and never had a better hamburger than Jack. A true hole in the wall joint, its easy to miss hard to navigate through the crampt food line and impossible to dislike. Do not expect a complex menu. The usual is either a single or double crystal hamburger or a hot dog with chips and can/glass drink. A long bar offers seating, but I suggest having a nice picnic to improve the experience. So if you want a break from organic artichokes and hummus, I recommend a visit.
Fries the Buffalo Chicken, Chili and Cheese and had to share buffalo tenders. Was a nice place to eat. Very quiet I am uncertain when they do this all the time, but when I went the music was very low my friend and I felt a little unpleasant at first as we felt too loud. But the staff was very nice. Buffalo bird was delicious, just as you would expect to be a buffalo sauced chicken. Chilli cheese we are beautiful, and the offers we are decent.
You know for an almost fast food type restaurant, this place does one fantastic burger. I took the build your own option and wasn't disappointed. A fine double burger with mushrooms and onions, oozing flavour, beautifully cooked, nice tender meat, not dry or lacking texture, unlike some other restaurants near by!! Will definitely be back. Oh, and the staff were really helpful when ordering and throughout, great spot.
