Restaurant bewertenEvery time I come home to visit we usually stop here and have never had a problem. First time in years that I’ve ever been disappointed. My food was over cooked and our waitress cared more about the bigger tables and barely stopped to check on us. We waited 20 mins for our bill. Sadly will never be back to this restaurant. Most expensive leftovers I’ve ever had.
Great place for food and drinks and live music. Great space for kids to run around and enjoy as well.
We live local and have visited The Strand several times. The food and service is inconsistent. We have been there times where the service and drinks are great and other times where we say we probably won’t return. We have a close group of 10 friends who wanted to go out on a Sunday afternoon for a meal and I was hesitant to suggest The Strand. My friends were insistent on trying a new spot and I had hoped it would be a good experience. Long story short, restaurant wasn’t very busy, wait staff was new and no one was helping him, waited 90 mins for food, the food was cold, had to send some food back because it wasn’t prepared properly, the salad was of poor quality, and just an overall disappointment. It’s such a great location but the overwhelming feeling we have gotten is that they just don’t care. I felt badly for recommending the restaurant and will only go back for the setting and a quick drink if we return.
Had a great first visit here, and will definitely be back! Had a great time sitting outside and enjoying the lake view. Delicious drinks, and would highly recommend the steak bites and sidewinder fries!
I reviewed this 2 years ago after a horrible experience. We decided to. Try again, but won't be back. Service was 100% better than last time. We were greeted and taken care of promptly. Food came out hot and quickly...almost too fast, but so much better. The food is just ok. Craft beer was mediocre and $15 for a Hurricane? I didn't pay that much for one in NOLA. We had the pretzel bites. Yum. 2 dipping sauces were good. Also had the fish tacos, please do yourself a favorite, and pass by them. Grill those tortillas and skip the cheese, Strand. It had a soggy bite with both of these. The pickled onions and sauce were good on their own. And there was a sad overfried piece of fish in each. We also had the pork brisket platter. Meat was a little dry. Cornbread was good but they give you 2 huge pieces to hide from the fact that they serve you small portions. The best part of the meal were the fries.
