George's Southside - Dixiana

Had the fried chicken and it was delicious. Like Mac and cheese and potato salad. Service was great, food came out quickly and the portions were great. The prices are also great. Great land cook for about the same price as a burger combo at a fast food place, just MUCH better. I will definitely be back!

Southside really has a great breakfast. We go there almost every weekend. Best Greetings in Columbia lol. I usually get smoked ham, cheese, eggs and toast. Yummy. The staff is always friendly.

George's Southside is an iconic restaurant of West Columbia/Cayce. Nestled in the fork of the road, George's is a place of friendly faces, foods of comfort and stories of days gone by...the regulars have been coming to George's for 35 years and for good reason...the food is always fresh, tasty and good portions. If you are a regular, you know you are greeted with a hug or a handshake, the owner George will come sit and chat with you asking for recent pictures of new generations and sending salutes to your family and if you are still shorter than the counter he has a treat behind the register for those little tots who will eventually bring their kids here too. George is a wonderful guy who loves his community and where you feel at home each time you visit. Definitely worth the visit if you are just passing through.

The Mediterranean salad is the best I have ever had! Such a great restaurant with plenty of friendly faces, and amazing food!
