Restaurant bewertenYou have to visit this hidden jewel. If you are near Dillon, Montana must stop. We were lucky to have discovered this family café on our last road trip. The food was fresh, from scratches and delicious. The chicken strips were the best my husband ever had! I had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich on homemade sourdough with hand-cut steak frits. It was also amazing. And we couldn't use spices without some of their homemade strawberry rhubarb calf and a glass of the school house to season their chicken strips and burgers. Customer service was warm and welcoming. If that's not enough, we enjoyed our meals in a charming old school house.
Really sweet café with a variety of bakery and breakfast pastries. This small café is located in a small school house and has many baked goods and custom Italian drinks. Many cakes and bread are on the display, and the dining room feels like a school house, with the menu on a large chalkboard. Only below are they closed Monday thru Wed, and not open for dinner. But if you travel through Thurs thru Sunday in the morning, this café is worth the stop (and photo op).
A southern Montana I 15 has to stop. Discover this jewel on a list of 15 Montana restaurants to visit before you die and not disappointed. What a fun way to experience a school house in 1900s. In addition, the food was amazing. Saure dough beer battery chicken strips are hand-baked and the best my husband ever had. Saures dough bread was delicious. Apple Cobbler was from this world. Friendly small town staff!
The best steak ever. boiled on perfection, the right cut, taste! it was worth not stopping anywhere else and waiting to reach the old school house. the cobbler is amazing! also the ambiente, the service, everything.
I travel a lot for work driving 7-10 hours to get to a location (not a trucker) when I stopped for gas I didn't expect to fall in love with this quiet little town. The cafe welcomed me even though I only had three bucks. I had some coffee with the cowboy who made it his business to have some with me; you just dont get that anywhere else. One free donut ? later I felt like I was being spoiled. I will be back and I suggest everyone go.
