Le Village Mandarin - Dijon

I guess this really deserves only 3.5 stars, if you were to really be judging just the food versus what you would typically get in a standard US bigger city chinese restaurant. There are factors that drove the 4 stars; such as Dijon is a smaller city, we have been on a steady diet of italian food (pasta, pizza et al) for the past 3 weeks (Sorrento, rome, florence, venice, milan), and it is reasonably priced didnt charge for water!!!

We weren't looking for Chinese but choices in this area were kind of limited and it was getting late. So we walked in to find a bustling busy place with a lengthy menu and very low prices. We ordered several dishes and were pleased with all of them. It's just off the street in a courtyard but not hard to find.

You need to look hard for the entrance, it's through a gate on the road and not on the road itself, however once you are in and eating, the search is well worth it. Ordering was a bit hard as we don't speak any French and the waiter had very limited English, but after speaking slowly we could understand each other. The staff are very friendly. We ordered the crab dim sims, super tasty, as entree then had Thai rice, chicken sate and beef with onions. Great simple dishes with no one flavour overpowering the others. Including 2 cokes the meal came to €36 and was well worth it. So spend some time and look for this place.

We wanted some Asian food and found this place via Trip Advisor. We were very happy with the tasty dishes and excellent service.

The staff is really nice, and for the meal I really enjoyed, it is fresh, good, and at a correct price.
