Sweet Potato Sensations - Detroit

Absolutely loved this place!! They not only sell food but have other items for purchase. Shirts, shea butter, lotions, a few other items. The friendliness of the staff was a major plus but the food was excellent. We had the turkey chop sandwiches, collard green/black eye pea soup, crochet patties, and sweet potato cheescake. I will definitely be returning.

The lemon pie is perfect. Not too sweet, and just the right amount of lemon. The sweet potato pie is outstanding. All the cobblers were very tasty. Try the cherry. It's made with Bing cherries. Sweet Potato Sensations offers Vegan options as well. We also took home soup, 2 sandwiches. All of it outstanding! We will be going back..

The place is amazing! I was disappointed they didn't have sweet potato ice cream, and really haven't had it for the last two months. There are so many great items to try. I really like that they have individual serving sizes, so I can buy them all. The sweet potato chocolate chip cookie has good flavor. The edges were bit hard, but the center was soft and great. There are walnuts in the cookie, it would be nice to know that up front. I'm not sure I would have bought it if I knew there were nuts in the cookie. I'll be back to try more again.

Clean establishment. Friendly and courteous staff. Chocolate cake was superb. The icing was sweet and delicious with moist cake. The lemon pound cake, i couldn't taste the lemon. The cake, however, was moist and tasted like a pound cake. I hope to try the cream cheese pound cake in the future.

Such a Detroit jewel, I harass my family anybody that'll listen to go to this dope spot. Amazing atmosphere, service, hair skincare products, even better food. I've tried just about everything feel y'all should too! Especially that turkey chop sandwich thats pictured
