Honeydoux Cafe+ Bakery - Destrehan

Cute Cafe Bakery shop and really good coffee! The place is clean and the staff is friendly creating a welcoming atmosphere. There's also plenty of coffee flavor options and the chocolate muffin was delicious. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Service and food was very good. We ordered a club sandwich to share that was so thick with bacon, Turkey, ham, etc. so glad we shared because I could barely finish my half. Also ordered tomato basil soup and artichoke soup. Both were good. Artichoke had a few fibrous pieces of artichoke. My chai tea was yummy too. Cute lil place that was clean and nicely decorated.

Tldr: Cute environment, friendly staff, *terrible* coffee, reasonable pastries. I went here for breakfast with my wife. They have a very limited breakfast menu, but what they have is nicely made and quickly served. The pastries are pretty good my wife enjoyed her pecan danish. The staff are friendly and pleasant. Our coffees were just awful burnt and very unpleasantly bitter.

The BlackBerry cream cheese danish was delicious, but the latte was not good. Espresso should be thick and bold, but my latte tasted like plain filtered coffee. The beans need to be ground finer. Coarse grinds watery espresso Fine grinds thick and bold espresso
