Sauberes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal, fühlen Sie sich familiär willkommen
Nettes, beruhigtes Personal. das Frühstückspersonal war ein Traum!
The lake just across the road is lovely, with water birds and a nice walk along the shore on early morning. The road is a little crowdy on Saturday night but the rest of the time is mostly quiet. So 5 point for location. The morning breakfast buffet is generous, with a nice view to the lake, and service of coffee to the table. 5 points for a 3 star hotel. The interior design ? Well, a lot of space is not a substitute to a lack of design. The rooms need an urgent uplift, starting with the floors, even for a 3 star standard. 2.5 points for interior.
Well what can I say. This hotel provides a service and surroundings way beyond its 3 stars. We have travelled extensively in Italy and this beats all of the rest. 1. The rooms are very well designed with deceptively roomy storage space. They have everything you need with very welcome individually controlled air con. There is an added touch of properly fitting modern anti insect screens on the windows and shutters. There is mini fridge, extra pillows, a large vanity mirror with good lighting in the bedroom and also in the bathroom. The bed linen is of high quality and monogrammed. The towels are large and fluffy , no postage stamps here. The rooms along with the rest of the hotel are kept spotlessly clean. The bathroom is a good size with a proper shower and screen. 2. The food. Where do I start firstly you will need bigger clothes at the end of your holiday. It is the best food we have eaten in Italy. A varied menu , interesting and using local fresh produce. I have a gluten and lactose intolerance and this was accommodated with no fuss as in other hotels I have stayed in. There were and alternative pastas, biscuits, cakes and cereals. Also milk for the obligatory cappuccino. All this served to you by the wonderful Emma who works tirelessly always with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Her personality and quality of service make the hotel what it is. 3. The location across the road from the lake affords a wonderful ever changing view and is within easy strolling distance of Desanzano. Access to the rest of the lake is excellent as from here. The buses leave for Verona and also the rest of the lakeside towns. It is possible to catch the train to venice as we did. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable stay on Lake Garda.
