Restaurant bewertenWe placed a large order for an event and they delivered! The birria tacos and vegan burritos were fantastic. The taco mania boxes were very convenient. Huge thanks to the friendly staff, I will definitely be returning!
Today, on 5/22/22, I had lunch for the first time at this restaurant. I ordered the birria tacos, along with some of their other popular dishes, and a tamarind soda. The total came to around $30 with a tip. The restaurant impressed me with its well-maintained and clean interior, giving off a cozy and somewhat hidden vibe. Spanish music played on the loudspeaker system, adding to the atmosphere. The customer service was excellent. As a first-timer, I asked for recommendations and was promptly helped with my order. I only had to wait about 5 minutes for my food, which was delivered quickly. The quality of the tacos was outstanding. The restaurant claims to have the best birria tacos in Iowa, and I can confirm this claim based on my experience - they were truly top-notch. The other dishes I tried were also delicious, with fresh ingredients, flavorful sauces, and enticing aromas. This was a great first visit, and I will definitely return whenever I'm in need of a taco fix. This restaurant is a gem for those looking for authentic Mexican cuisine.
Today, my son and I went to Nina's for the first time and let me tell you, the pastor asada tacos were life-changing! We didn't even make it home before finishing them. And don't even get me started on the monster pizza quesadilla. All I can say is, I highly recommend Nina's.
The first thing is parking. Not much! Next is the entrance door is all finger and hand-printed.Once inside, tables weren't wiped clean from other diners. Nor was it offered when I sat down after ordering! Not even when I received my water! Bench chairs need re-upholstered and the wood backs are sticky.Enough about cleanliness...I order 2 Quesa tacos which came with a bowl of beef broth, a small container of thick green sauce, and some fresh lime chunks. When I received my order, the tacos were super shiny and greasy-looking. When I opened it to see what was in them, it was a little more than 2 tablespoons of shredded beef, cheese, and a little cilantro. Not too bad for $4.16ea. Considering inflation at this time. Broth was delicious!Cheap, thin napkins are a problem! You'll need plenty! I have to say that they tasted ok, once you get by the grease!I may give them another shot, just because I'd like a Fatboy burrito! Other than that, probably won't go back to dine in! I hope the kitchen isn't as bad, but you know what they say! And who knows about the bathrooms...2 stars are the best I give here!Sorry! Only pics I took!
Had a hard time finding good authentic Mexican food in Des Moines until I found this place! AMAZING food. I had the ketogenic tacos and I was shocked. Add a little lime and they're 10/10. I might even like them more than regular tacos. Seriously good food.
