Restaurant bewertenIf you like fusion food, this is a good place to go. They do a really good job of combining different kinds of food into a single dish. Anne, the drink specials are very good. Highly recommended.
What to say about 195? Strike three, and you're out!! This was my third attempt at 195 and by far the least enjoyable. To recap, the last trip was highlighted by the worse bloodymary in Moore County. It tasted like a mix of Zing Zang and dish soap. On to today's venture. Lunch on a Tuesday is apparently restock day. No prosecco, out of a Belgian triple, and the garlic Naan was unavailable. These things happen. Throw in the fact that it took 30 minutes to take our order, and we started to see a pattern. The arrival of our appetizer 10 minutes later was accented by having to ask for silverware. This was once we flagged down the waiter after he serviced another table. His response was predicted as he grabbed a set of silverware from an adjacent table, promptly placing it in front of us. Our main dishes arrived in a reasonable amount of time. As they arrived, we both noticed that the air temperature was beginning to get quite warm. By the end of our meal, my fiancée and I felt like we were both about to start sweating like we were in the middle of 5k. At the end of the day, it was an unfortunate experience that will not be suffered a 4th time.
This is the family's current favorite restaurant. The food is deliberately and artfully prepared and they have some really interesting and appetizing dishes. The kind of plates that I haven't experienced much in Moore county. It is very good for both lunch and dinner. Highly recommended.
Fives across the board, the menu is not extensive but it is broad enough to satisfy most palettes. But, whatever you choose, you can be assured that it will be at a minimum, very good. We have been several times and it is consistent. It is one of our go to restaurants in the area.
We have always enjoyed eating at 195. The food and service are consistently good. We hadn’t eaten there in a few months and took our son and his significant other out for dinner last evening. The restaurant was packed, as usual. Our server, Hannah, went over the menu special with us prior to ordering. The special was lamb chops, which my son enjoys, so that is what he ordered. I ordered the vegetable curry (can’t remember the proper name from the menu). My curry was very good, but there was hardly any vegetables in it (I identified a few red peppers and some broccoli). For a $27 entree, it was disappointing. All of the other entrees ordered were thoroughly enjoyed. When it came time for the check, my husband reviewed it, paid, and we left. He told me on the way home that the lamb chop (the special of the evening) was $60! I was shocked, first, because it was the ‘special’, and second, because the price was not mentioned when Hannah described it. My husband was bothered by the fact that the special of the evening was almost 2x the amount of most of the other entree items. He (and I) thought the price should have been stated in the description. For the first time in our 30+ years of marriage, he called the restaurant when we got home. He asked to speak to a manager, but was diverted to 2 people before he spoke to someone. He had the phone on speaker mode, kindly describing the situation. The person he spoke to seemed to not be very interested in his dilemma. Her tone was standoffish and not empathetic. She did apologize that the price was not verbalized up front. She also said that she would speak to the manager (who he asked for twice and thought he was currently speaking to). We really enjoy this restaurant, but the entree prices are getting way out of hand. We will still eat at 195, but we will be more selective so we don’t end up using all of our ‘fun money’ for the month in one sitting. Please review your pricing, keeping in mind who your market is, and make the necessary adjustments.
