Restaurant bewertenCozy curry house. only had the lamb madras with boiled rice, but it was delicious. although it was busy, we could get a table on the window.
"My husband said it was a delicious curry. We stopped by during a weekend trip and the restaurant was full, which is always a good sign! The staff were attentive and polite, and our food came out quickly. We ordered vegetarian korma, vegetarian rogan josh, two servings of rice, and a cheese naan. The menu had plenty of vegetarian options, with the choice to upgrade vegetable sides to main dishes. The restaurant was clean and the prices were fair. What more could you ask for?"
I ordered from this restaurant for the second time, and for both times they forgot to include the rice. This time, the food was terrible - the tandoori mixed grill was dry and tough, the korma had too much sauce and not enough chicken. The only decent parts were the peswari nan, poppadoms, and pickle tray. I paid £40 just to end up throwing it all in the bin. I will never order from here again.
We stumbled upon this restaurant and were lucky to find an available table as it seems reservations are recommended. It was clear they also offer carry-out options. The food was excellent, although it was a new experience for me to choose my own rice for an Indian dish. It was definitely worth it.
By far the superior dining establishment Matlock has to offer. Elegant, clean, sophisticated interior. Professional, pleasant, helpful staff all dressed impeccably. Excellent and thoroughly delicious food. Highly recommend this place.
