Restaurant bewertenThis restaurant offers a blend of traditional British bakery, European pastries, and Greek takeout food. The products are exceptional, authentic, and expertly baked. The service is consistently friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable considering the high quality and authenticity of the food. There is ample parking available nearby. This establishment is definitely a standout in Derby's dining scene.
This bakery offers a wide variety of delicious baked goods, both sweet and savory. Their selection of savory pastries is particularly unique and some of the best I have ever tried!
I popped by this week to try this place for lunch as I walked past and saw they did various things like panini’s and Greek Wraps, the cafe was almost empty when I got there and there was a couple in front of me. It took quite a while for the staff member to come round the back and see us waiting to be served as they have a front area where they sell pastries and cakes etc. The couple went to order something with chicken and the lady said they had none today, she then went to order something else and she said no all we have is a small selection of Greek food, the gentleman asked for something and she huffed and puffed and said yes we can do that but we have no staff so we can’t do everything, (by this time I was stood for 10 mins) you think she would have asked what I wanted if they had nothing just to make sure I wasn’t stood wasting my time. In the end I walked off as I was going to ask for a ham and cheese panini but doubted they were able to do this today. Overall bad customer service and staff member seemed like she was really pissed off.
We stopped here for a snack and coffee omg the Cornish pasties are gorgeous and piping hot very nice place in the middle of the Eagle Centre which is anointed to the Intu centre great staff too.
I was on a mission to find the best pasty in Derby and my search led me to Spondon Bakery. Planning a Cornish themed dinner, I wanted an authentic pasty, but didn't want to travel all the way to Cornwall. I drove from the other side of Derby to Spondon Bakery and decided to try their Derby Ram pasty and two minted lamb pasties. The staff were friendly and the service was good, but unfortunately, the pasties did not meet my expectations. I had high hopes but they were completely shattered. I will have to wait until my next trip to Cornwall to satisfy my craving for a delicious pasty. For now, I recommend Chester Rd Butchers in Newquay for the best pasty in Cornwall. Thank me later.
