Restaurant bewertenVery disappointed No taste , cold shawarma, Prices a little high
Honestly not that good, zero flavor. The lamb shawarma was chewy and had minimal flavor. The rice and chicken was mid at best. I really wanted to like it, but I was not satisfied. The waiter was really nice and gave us free tea and that was probably the yummiest thing we had. Also, the prices are quite high.
Everything over priced and food doesn’t taste flavorful at all way too bland. I had lamb haneeth and rice ghalaba from here. I will just stick with Yemen cafe, deff not worth it.
Real authentic Yemeni meal I ever enjoyed outside Yemen. Thank you
When you first walk in, it says to wait to be seated, but no one approaches you, so you need to seat yourself. It was empty the entire time we were there; that was the first hint. So, we had a waiter come over and take our order, who was not very helpful with questions about the dishes. The food came in 15-20 minutes, and it all looked good. The lamb came right off; it was very soft. The bread seemed fresh and hot; everything looked amazing, but it was flavorless. I don’t mean there was very little flavor; I mean there was none at all, and then the bread was still doughy; it was slightly raw. But the main thing is the lack of flavor. The last thing was the atmosphere; there was a pile of crap in the bathroom not cleared up, and it looked super easy to clean. I could smell it from the table and went to investigate. A few minutes later, they started bukhur (fragrant, smoky incense) to cover up the smell. Like I mentioned before, the place was pretty empty too, so I’m not sure why they couldn’t clean it. They had the bill come in a treasure box. Eight small sambosas were almost 30 bucks, and they tasted bad and were burnt. Also, they tried to rush us out and asked us if we were ready to pay while we were still sitting down. I’m not here to shame, but this is not quality food, and I hope this helps anyone avoid wasting money and time coming here.
