Restaurant bewertenOrders delivered immediately and on time. that would have to be the worst food we have ever experienced, as the salt content of the heavens was high, so our tongues are discoloured! it could not eat everything as it was sooo salty! I thought we would react with fried rice, but that was even more salty than the bark shell! the chef must have filled with salt glass, because that was ridiculously salty to be almost unusable. will never return
Eating is generally very nice, but comes to a premium price. the service is terrible, however. it is a wonder if they even answer the phone, and if they expect their order to take at least one hour.
On the 7th august a table from 10 to 19 o'clock booked and waited for an hour before our first round of drinks. the drink order included 2 bottles bubbly and a request for 6 glasses, but only one bottle came and no glasses. in the next 30 minutes we have made at least 3 follow-up requests for glasses and always said that they are coming, they have never arrived and so we have used a sort of red wine and water glasses. we had finally taken our food order and, when the food arrived, it was pleasant. Unfortunately, the bad service put the suppe on the table, but we had no cutlery / bargain etc. with which to eat and after several accusations we finally helped us out of the storage area. interestingly, the restaurant has completely booked and everyone table was full (not sure why there were COVID restrictions! , but it seemed a lot of waiting personal and so it was frustrating to get such a lack of service.
Our party of six booked for dinner recently and were looking to order some of our favourites at a new (for us) restaurant. We were seated quickly at a large round table topped with a lazy Susan giving us plenty of space to spread out....The vibe was busy suburban Asian restaurant with lots of families dining, mostly Asian rather than Caucasians which gave us hope of authentic food. Ordering dishes was a trifle confusing. When my friend requested a dish in English, the waitperson responded in Chinese. When my friend switched to Chinese, the response was in English. Um why? Finally, when summarising confirming the order, the waitperson reeled off the list in Chinese. The dishes were delivered efficiently and concurrently as we were sharing Asian style. Presentation was a little more sophisticated than your regular suburban, using woven straw baskets and mats in some dishes. But in the wake of COVID-19, I did wonder at how the kitchen managed cleaning and storing between uses. The best dishes that night was the deep fried whole fish with sweet and sour sauce. The fish was presented beautifully in a “swimming” position and it was cooked till “just done”, and was sweet and fresh. The other hits were the crispy garlic pork chops, the salt and pepper squid, and the XO green beans. The soy braised pork belly was fragrant and fall apart tender, but nothing special in my opinion. The steamed buns they were served with could have been better steamed and fluffier. Misses were the braised eggplant (rather stodgy overall with a few undercooked pieces), and the clay pot tofu with crab roe which was very bland. I also felt that the plain steamed rice and tea also fell into the “miss” pile. The serving of rice was rather tiny and not very warm, and the tea could have been hotter and refilled more frequently. Dessert was a disappointment in that the specials listed on the board were all not available. If they weren’t available, the board should be removed or the items crossed out. Would I return? Maybe. If I did, I won’t bother ordering steamed or braised dishes.
Our first ever visit to this Restaurant. Meals were large and delicious. The dishes were very well presented, especially for Chinese cuisines, with delightful vegetable carvings. Our table of 8 received exceptional service by our waitress. Highly recommended.
