Restaurant bewertenThe carrot muffins are AMAZING and all the other treats look fantastic too. Coffee is excellent as well. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area it is also only a short walk from Rittenhouse Square.
Stopped here to support local businesses. It took 25 minutes to get my Grilled Cheese Sandwich. No pickle, no chips, just the sandwich for 11 dollars. Apparently they were occupied making orders that were phoned in or ordered pnline (I figured out later). No one had the courtesy to explain that I would have to wait 25 minutes before they accepted my payment. Just left me hanging. I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.
My husband and I stopped in here after we hadn't eaten all day. It was late in the afternoon so the selection was slim, but it was absolutely delightful. It's an adorable little stop with a few outside seats so that you can consume your goodies at once. The chocolate chip cookie was absolutely perfect, morsels of melty chocolate, super chewy cookie. The strawberry rhubarb handpie was delish. If you go early, there's a wide variety of sweet and savory and they appear to do sandwiches, too. We will be back when we're in Philly. This was a weekend trip.
That such good food can be produced in such a small space is remarkable. Offering delicious pastries, specialty sandwiches wraps, no wonder there's a line out the door, Still it's worth the short wait if one of the tiny sidewalk tables isn't available, nearby Rittenhouse Square is a great spot for a picnic.
We made a special trip to Rittenhouse Square yesterday and stopped for a morning treat at The Bakeshop on 20th. Were we ever glad we did! We had 4 items, all of which were spectacular: a blondie brownie, a Nutella muffin, an oat bar and a butterscotch scone. Very morsel was delicious. We had expected a much larger space, but the treats they serve are out of this World!
