The Prickly Pear Cantina - Danville

The margarita I ordered at my table was disappointingly weak. The service was decent until our waiter seemed to forget about us towards the end of our meal. We had to ask another waiter for a water refill. The food was mediocre, comparable to what you would find at a typical Americanized Mexican restaurant. On a positive note, the hostess was very accommodating.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I was very disappointed since I heard the food was good and service was good as well. The hostesses (there were 2 at the front) sat us, a table of 6, at a table and didn 't bring menus. We waited 10 minutes for menus even though we asked multiple servers who walked by as well as reminding the hostesses who sat us and when we finally did get them, they acted like it was an inconvenience to bring them over... it took our server 30 minutes to process any type of request: drink and food order, and was barely seen for the 2 hours we we there. The food came and the presentation looked great but it tasted very salty and my tacos, rice and beans were cold. The server gives us our check and vernatim tells us to hurry up and close out our bills because management wants him to go home...? I wish I could say that was a joke. Absolutely disrespectful. I will never be going back.

This restaurant offers a good Mexican meal in the area. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food quality was above average, but I felt that it was not worth the price. The mahi tacos, priced at $5 each on Taco Tuesday, were dry and not very fresh. The service, however, was excellent.

Upon hearing about this restaurant, I had high hopes for the service, but unfortunately it fell short. It took 15 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. The food was also disappointing, although it did come out quickly once we ordered. Overall, the Prickly Pear Cantina is not worth the price tag. It was a subpar experience. If you're looking for quality, I recommend going elsewhere.
