King Cropp Kitchen - Danville

This place is insanely good. The food…. Wow, if someone complains about the food, we’ll, their taste buds are dead. I tired a couple of the martinis after dinner, they were fantastic! This place is a true winner with me. Guaranteed, I will be back.

Firstly, I LOVE King Cropp, and the delicious food they bring to the downtown Danville area. This was my second visit, and the Buffalo cauliflower did not disappoint! I was rather turned off by the over salted Ahi Tuna and mushrooms. Less salt, and they would have been bomb!!! Will definitely return to try something new and hopefully a bit less salty : staff was friendly and attentive as always!

Impressed. Not huge sitting area but we were the first to arrive with our extended family of 10. Staff quickly got our tables ready and we were seated with just a sort wait. My husband and I ordered the fried catfish to share. It looked so light and crisp the broccoli was made to perfection and the salad was fresh and gourmet style. All of us received our meals without a long wait. Several of the family (9 adults and 1 toddler) ordered the mac and cheese everyone was super pleased with all the food, the service and the whole meal atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean and well equipped.

Met the owner, John Kropp and his daughter, Darcy who were very pleasant and welcoming. We even got a joke from John; this is a family owned business. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious and filling. My favorite was the Chili Garlic Cauliflower, although, the catfish, angus meatloaf were good also. For the sides we got, fried cabbage, pinto beans, mac and cheese, fries, green beans, and cole slaw. Everything was well-seasoned. The atmosphere was inviting. Happy to see Danville progressing in its offerings.Parking: All around the restaurant.

My new fave restaurant in the area! They can accommodate so many allergies! Gf, dairy free, vegan and even alpha-gal! Almost the whole menu is gluten free! Seriously, I challenge you to find a gluten friendly restaurant with so many delicious options (that’s not salad), let alone in this area! The staff are so knowledgeable and the service was out of this world! Hard to believe that they knocked it out of the park with the food too! Usually you have to choose just one! My entire family got the catfish and it was amazing! Don’t miss out on the fried cabbage, it’s so good! In fact everything we had was amazing! Also, don’t skip desert! They have the best chocolate moose! So light and delicious! What a way to end the night!
