Koi Palace - Daly City

Lousy quality food and much overpriced for Dim sum. So Har gao is $8.50 letting you down? That's absurd. We've got 10 dishes and we've paid $70 for it. This is really expensive and the food wasn't even hot for the take-out. We have Har Gao, shui mai, Maligo (no Maligur), simple rice roll, shrimp rice roll, egg yolk lava beans, and Custard Ananas rolls, beef balls and roasted tofu. The rice rolls were a bit cold and this hard, although we drove a block home to eat it. I liked how the shrimps in the shrimp roll were very large. The egg yolk Lavabunker was cold and the supposed lava was bright and dry. The bread was hard. It is not worth buying the cost of Dim Sum here when everything you get is cold.

Location in Daly City. It's worth the ride! Rice rolls, Siu mai, Kongee and Lotus gluing rice? everything was tasteful on site. Service is fine and we have a reservation online and came directly at the opening at 11 a.m. It'll be so early!

Private room on Saturday for dinner is really nice. Service was great. The pig is a special order. My favorite was the sea bass. We have 2 types of crabs and both were really good. Koi Palace was a Bay Area reminder for my family and many others who celebrate something big like graduation, a wedding, a promotion or a holiday. Koi Palace is known to be much more pricier than the usual spots, but the decoration and attention to the service, as well as the quality of the food is above in comparison. Amazing dim sum. COVID has changed the way orders are taken so it's not as fun as it used to be but that's not the restaurant's fault. All of the items we chose were really good, including the durian puffs. Yummy!
