Restaurant bewertenThe barbecue pork and duck were incredibly tasty! They were very fresh. However, I didn't give the restaurant 5 stars because when my mom ordered 3 pounds of pork and I ordered 1.5 pounds, the man serving us ended up putting way more meat on our plates than we asked for. As a result, my mom's pork ended up costing over $52 and mine was $50, even though the price is listed as $11.99 per pound. I tried to ask for less meat in my box, but he ignored my request and just kept putting more in. Despite this, the food was definitely worth the price, although it was a lot of pork. I would consider coming back here to try more dishes when I am back in Texas. The atmosphere can get a bit chaotic though, as people come in with no clear line structure. Additionally, the parking lot is small and can be hectic.
As the meats were being prepared, I noticed they also sold other snacks like sweet buns, egg rolls, and various Asian groceries. I was too focused on the BBQ meats to explore those options. The prices were similar to other places, but what set this place apart was the friendly older gentleman behind the counter. Enough chit chat, the BBQ meats here are incredible. The pork and duck were so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. Both were tender and juicy, with crispy skin on the roast pork and outstanding duck. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's truly how I felt. Hiep Phong is a bit of a trek from my place, but I will definitely be a regular here.
We ordered a whole roasted pig for my son's birthday party. It was delicious and juicy. Although it was a bit of a drive for us since we live south of Dallas, the tasty food made it worth the trip.
Extremely good barbeque here. Dang I forget to take a pick I ate it so fast
Delicious and tasty roast duck like usual, but keeps getting both smaller and more expensive. A whole duck is almost $30 now. Their French bread, to accompany the duck, is almost always out by the afternoon.
