The people here are rude and will talk down to you. The server called me “sweetheart” a number of times. I could not hear well while inside and when I spoke louder I was told “not to yell”. I originally walked into the business to use the bathroom. There do not seem to be any public bathrooms and the museum that we planned to visit was closed (they are closed on Monday and Tuesday). I was told that I had to buy something to use the bathroom. Isn’t that illegal? Edited after owner’s response: In many states it is illegal to deny access to a bathroom. The ADA also states that it is illegal to deny access to a bathroom to someone with a disability. I have a disability and did not discuss this with your server but she also never asked if I had a disability or an emergency. I am not from this area and I have never been to the restaurant before so I did not know the rules for using the bathroom. The server was extremely curt with me and I neither used bad language, nor did I threaten anyone. As a customer and a reviewer of your services, I am saddened by these accusations. If the server believed that I used foul language or threatened her, she should have refused service at that moment and sent me out. No server should have to put up with either of those situation. Instead, the server forced me to purchase something in order to use the bathroom and then she gave me the combination to the bathroom. When I returned from the bathroom, I asked her for my water and then she started to get mad at me for my language (I thought she was mad that I spoke Spanish when another employee was also speaking Spanish) and then she yelled at me, You don 't have to talk to me like that! I just looked at her confused because I had no idea what she was talking about. Your server showed me no compassion, and she may not understand that calling someone twice your age “sweetheart” is extremely insulting. Your business has admitted to keeping the doors locked because of the homeless people in the area. I am not homeless and this policy of not allowing someone to use the facilities in an emergency shows the business ' lack of compassion for the people who happen to be downtown. There are a lot of people who visit this area from out of town. What is funny (maybe a little sad) is that if she had been compassionate toward me and let me go to the bathroom without being condescending or mean, I would have happily stayed there for lunch and this review would have been very different. I realize that you need to “save face” with future patrons and people reading this by saying such horrible things about me. That says a lot about you, your business, and it saddens me. I pray that neither you nor your family runs into the same situation out there that I ran into in your restaurant.
Great little place with a homie feel. The food was great! Fresh and tasty. The trio app was amazing would recommend. had the brisket tacos they were good but not the best brisket. Shrimp tacos tho slap. Decor was nice and interesting waitress was wonderful!
The best experience and food great place don’t miss this gem! And Jasmine is a great server as well!
Two bad things about this place- first- the food was ok and the service took a very long time. In fact- it took so long that when we returned to their parking lot, there was a boot on our car for being 10mins over time. The price of the removal of the boot was $150. The company running the parking lot works with the restaurant. So for some bad food, no drinks, and parking 10mins over due to waiting on service, it costed us over $230 for 4 people. Felt like a scam and the restaurant is in on it….. I do not recommend going.
