Restaurant bewertenBarabati forts distance from Cuttack junction is 6 km . There is main gate on the front side of the fort . After going 300 meter there is garden and garden is in good condition . There is only 3 buildings are available to see in that fort. And the worst thing is that there is not available any historical board in the fort . Government or local people should make the historical board of fort , If they don't have any proper information they can get information on the Google and please make it for our historical culture this is our responsibility . It is helpful for tourists and I think Tourism is very important part of the total GDP of the Odisha State .
The fort is ruined but still you can see many ancient stairs and pillars. It is surrounded by a small and beautiful park also. Parking space is also available outside the park.
Whenever I come to this place, I feel happy and amazing. This place is best in Cuttack to spent time and have some snacks. It was the entrance gate of the king Kalinga, at 1600 or 1800 century around. I am sorry if am wrong. But the point is that this place gives a good vibe and recently you can see here mini water fountains with beautiful water falling shapes. I feel happy when I come here.
A must visit historical place in Cuttack. Odisha has so much to offer and this is one of such place. I went there to shoot a vlog for my Youtube channel Channel name Miss Izanami . I did some research about it and was so surprised to know the history of Barabati Fort. You can go there with your family and do tell your child about the importance of the fort that British used to fear a lot in the bygone era.
Barabati Fort is a 989 AD fort built by Marakata Keshari of Somavamshi dynasty in Cuttack, Odisha. The ruins of the fort remain with its moat, gate, and the earthen mound of the nine-storied palace, which evokes the memories of past days
