The Castaway Club On Lake Alexander

THE CHEESE CURDS!!!! I can’t Rabat and rave enough about the cheese curds. The best I’ve ever had, honestly. Not only that, but the loaded fries with short ribs are so good. Food has so much flavor and the team is so professional! Such a great first experience. I will be bringing people here for sure!!!!Food: 5/5

Sunday brunch is a must! We had the biscuits and gravy, pancakes, French toast and breakfast sandwich. The pancakes are probably the best I’ve ever had. The sauce on the breakfast sandwich was amazing. Biscuits and gravy had nice flavor and great portion. The hash browns that come with the sandwich are one of a kind. The service was great. The atmosphere outside is nice, along with the play ground for restless kids.Kid-friendliness: Playground outside

The food was good. Service lacked immensely. We got the poke bowl as an appetizer and after waiting 35+ minutes, had to remind our server about it so that it wouldn’t come at the same time as our entrees. She walked to the kitchen and came right out with it. Which leads me to believe it was just sitting there waiting for someone to bring it out to us, but nobody did until we brought it up. Few minutes later we got our entrees, I had the steak stroganoff which was AMAZING. He got the chicken dill sandwich which he said was not good at all. We ordered a beer and glass of wine when our entrees arrived, and didn’t get them to our table until after our entire meal was gone. I watched our drinks sit up at the bar for 20+ minutes before someone brought them over to us, while our waitress was in the corner rolling silverware. Other servers were grabbing all other drinks except for ours. I almost got up and grabbed them myself. Our waitress never checked on us during our meal. If she would’ve, she would’ve known we were missing our drinks. Anyways, I want to come back because i liked the atmosphere and my food was good, but won’t make the commute if service is horrible. I think the waitresses need to work more as a team and help each other run food and drinks and be more attentive and they would be great. You’re only as good as your weakest link! I hope their service gets better!

We went to Anchor North last night. I ordered chicken wings. They came with wax paper cooked on each piece I sent it back. People we were with ordered the onion blossom it was totally raw. We enjoyed it so much better as the Castaway. I hope it gets better.Food: 1/5

Wonderful place! We rented a boat on Lake Alex and were pleasantly surprised to find a dockside restaurant. They had outdoor seating where my dogs could relax with us while we ate by the lake. Food was great, service was friendly. A customer recommended the peanut butter and jelly pizza as a to-go dessert. We took her advice and even cold later, it was a GREAT bonfire treat after a long day on the water. Wish we loved closer. We would be regulars :
