Restaurant bewertenThis place offers plenty of food for very little money. There are so many options on the menu, everyone is sure to find something they like. I had Bacalao what was delicious. My friend had a cheese filled Chile Relleno, what he said was... good. The service was excellent. The place is incredibly popular with locals, making it in traditional lunch (2-3 pm). The location is good, very close to the cathedral and the garden of Borda. I would recommend if you were looking for a good, cheap food, good service, and you are not looking for a chic restaurant experience. Definitely worth the money.
I tried to go here a few times and it's always busy. When I had to eat here, it was full, but no line outside. There are a few complete meals to choose from about US$3.00. Salad, main, dessert and a drink. I was the only one not Mexican when I ate.
Just a short walk from the Centro try it because you will not be disappointed ....Hand made black corn tortillas that are an extraordinary find everywhere. Has Chile relleno en nogada (Nutty creme sauce with pomegranate) until today. All I can say is delicious about $5.25 USD. My companion had a tapiquena steak, soup, salad guacamole. $5.00
I ordered the Pollenmol who was very good. The best mole I've ever eaten was made by a local woman so I can't be fair compared. If I hadn't eaten, that would be great. It came with 2 soups, one of... that was rice, roasted beans, chips, salsa and agua de jamaica (hibiscus tea). At the end of the meal they brought me a cup of squash ice cream that was honestly delicious. Delicious. I think I spent something like 50 pesos, which is now $2.70. Left a tip that almost doubles it. BTW, if you eat solo or only with another person, please sit at a table for 2 and not for 4. There were 3 tables that were taken by solo men, while numerous people were out in the line.
Ambos platos bien.
