Restaurant bewertenWow to travel from the state of the outside world and the coast, we happen to come across a cute Chinese restaurant, China hat! It was super good food and excellent service! The chicken was good and the rice was also great. If you like Chinese food, you should stop and try it! Good hours.
The hostess was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. When I mentioned my son's allergies on nuts, she went out of her way to make sure that other common potential allergens were served separately. The food was also fantastic!
All right. Everything is freshly prepared. Wonton soup is a meal in itself. The best Egg Foo Yong ever. A wonderful atmosphere in an old house. Good place for large group meetings. Really to go a hidden jewel of the place.
A proper meal. I prefer really tasty food that is not contaminated without a lot of food coloring and corn starch. China hat has been a long time ago and some people love it, but personally I would rather eat somewhere. Service is very good and the restaurant is clean.
Haven't been to Crescent City in a couple of years and, to my chagrin, two of the Asian restaurants I liked had closed. So I went to this place. They are only serving takeout right now, no dine-in. I ordered vegetable chow mein and paid extra for pan fried noodles. Wow, was I surprised with what I got. I am a senior and, in my entire life, I have never seen chow mein with tomatoes in it. Also, you usually get wide flat noodles, rice noodles, but this had regular wheat noodle pasta in it. The noodles are not good. The sauce is a little red, which is a weird color for chow mein. I ordered vegetable chow mein but I see no extra vegetables in it. In fact, there were hardly any vegetables in it, except for a lot of tomatoes. Basically, this doesn't look or taste anything like what I think of as Chow Mein and I don't usually eat wheat. My bad for not asking. But I have been eating in restaurants a lot in my travels this past month and have always gotten rice noodles with my meals so I didn't even think to ask. Overall, I do not find this meal any better than something I could dump out of a can. I just ate the few vegetables out of it and through the rest away. Very disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant. P.S. Also the restaurant is not very vegetarian friendly. To my surprise, they do not even have tofu!
