La vieille Auberge - Courbépine

This is a regular stop-over for lunch en route to the south-west of France. The food is good quality and home prepared French regional (Norman) cuisine, The patron is always very welcoming and helpful. He also speaks English. The decor is really what I would think of as in a traditional French auberge. Thoroughly recommend.

Stopped here for lunch with friends on our way south to la Rochelle just before Xmas. A great find, good value excellent tasting food, the owner speaks excellent English

Enjoyed the 19.90 euro menu. Had very nice goat's cheese salad, beefsteak and Isle floatant. Good value for money. Near motorway and ample parking.

Found this place by chance after leaving the motorway in pouring rain. It looked nice outside, and parking was very close to the front door so we wouldn't get too wet! Not exactly a gourmet driven decision!We were very pleasantly surprised. The owner was very welcoming, explained the menu to us and delivered an extremely tasty and reasonably priced meal, with duck as the centrepiece.
