Restaurant bewertenToday was lunch at 7 Seas. What a fabulous location. 10/10.. the view up and down the beach is breath taking. Food is good and the fish is fresh. Service very good as well.
We came here on the advice of our concierge, and I'm sorry to say the food was just ok. Let's start at the beginning.Situated on the outskirts of Cabo, this restaurant is a part of a boutique looking hotel on a cliff side with great parking and the most drop dead beautiful locations I can imagine. We were seated on the water front just above a surfing school. What's not to love? We watched the folks surfing take some of the last waves of the day. Just stunning views. We had shrimp ceviche which was very fresh. Classic cilantro and lime in variety but bit a of a different preparation than I'm used to, less tangy acidity from cilantro/lime. During all this below I must say that the flies were awful, I'm hoping that is just a seasonal thing or something.Chef sent out an amuse buche which was nice followed by burnt bread. My Wife had Mezcal Shrimp and I the Lemon Red Snapper. Plantains were a nice touch but the shrimp, while well cooked, was just ok, hammered with garlic.Snapper was good, Chorizo in the Tagliatelle was a nice touch.I dunno, no disrespect to the restaurant, maybe just an off night. Mediocre service, flies, bland food, We were happy to move on.Did I mention the Location is Stunning?
The location and view are hands down amazing. When we arrived they didnt have our reservation but sat us anyway. Servers very attentive. They have a kids menu but pasta dishes were super spicy, so sent back for kids hamburger. I had penne pasta with chicken. The rest of the group had seafood which they said was great. We all had upset stomachs the next day, but it was our last night (so who knows?!)Provided my mother in law with a fun birthday dessert so we could sing to her. Kids went down to the beach for a few minutes before we left. They also had wifi, which my son appreciated :)
You will NOT be disappointed in the appetizer sampler. It was outstanding! All 3 of us ordered fresh fish & it was all good, especially the daily special of the snapper. Too full for dessert. Will be back next trip.
We were driving to the airport when we saw the sign for 7 Seas on the highway. We decided to stop for lunch and were really glad we did! We arrived at around noon and seated immediately. We sat at the edge of the patio overlooking the beach (there doesn't seem to be a bad view from anywhere). Our friendly server started us w/ waters and crisp tortilla chips w/ guac, chipotle sauce and macerated onions. They have an extensive wine list on an iPad (just ask). We ordered a Mexican Chardonnay and French sparkling rosé. For entrees, we ordered sea bass tacos (definitely go for the homemade tortillas) and the surprise me. The latter was seared sea bass w/ cranberry yuzu sauce on a bed of yam mash. The tacos came w/ pico de gallo and cabbage salad. Tacos were $13USD and surprise me was $16USD; both dishes were quite filling. All in all, the bill came to $76USD inclusive of tip. Will definitely return next time we are in Cabo. Check it out!
