B&j’s Pizza Brewpub - Corpus Christi

I ordered a pizza, which was amazing. You can tell that they really put the time into preparing it. The ingredients were fresh, and the dough was hand tossed. The seating area is on the minimal side, which some people might not care for, but I thought it fit the place perfectly.

First off let me say that I 've been going to B Js for probably 25 years they are my favorite pizza place. I decided to place an online order since that was recommended in their voicemail recording when I called their southside location. I placed my order at 5:26pm figured it would probably take an hour for my order to be ready. After about an hour I checked the status of the order it still showed as in preparation . I periodically checked the status kept getting the same message. So at 7:30, 2 hours after placing my order I went to the store, stood in the same line for customers who were dining in just to find out if my order was ready, which it was. Unfortunately the pizza was luke warm soggy because it probably had been sitting on top of the oven for probably close to an hour. I really don 't like leaving such a negative review for one of my favorite local restaurants but they seriously need to either hire more people or get a better system. They don 't answer the phones when you call you don 't receive any type of status updates. Even now, 3 hours after my order was placed it still shows as in preparation .

I spent 15 minutes on the phone listening to background sounds and 1 order taken. Then when I got here a placed an order to go it took another 45 minutes. Last time I’ll go here again.

A large group of my coworkers and I decided to go here for lunch. They have some pretty good lunch specials. I ordered the 8 inch pizza and a drink and I also ordered a side salad, which was extra. I mean, you gotta have a salad if you're going to eat pizza. Right? I decided to go with the pick your own four toppings choice. And of course my favorites are pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and black olives. And no, I'm not trying to copy Jerry Seinfeld. My salad came out first and shortly thereafter they brought out my 8 inch pizza. Both were very tasty! The drinks were from the fountain dispenser so it was endless refills. Will I go back here? Oh, most definitely!!

The pizza was very greasy and the cheese and toppings fell off the slice when you tried to pick it up.
