Gong Cha - Coquitlam

This is one of the better ones offering a variety of pearl milk tea in the area. We ordered three of the brown sugar ones and they were made relatively to perfection. Service was quick. Staff was friendly. It's located in a plaza near one of the biggest malls in the area. The place was clean and neat. We were satisfied with our purchase.

Came in on a Friday night and it wasn 't too busy. I ordered the taro milk tea and black sesame waffle and both were fine. The taro milk tea is one of the few drinks that doesn 't have caffeine and can be made hot. The only problem is that the sweetness can 't be adjusted, since it 's made from a powder, and I found my drink to be painfully sweet. (For reference, I normally ask for 30 or 50% sweet on my milk teas). I did also get their milk foam topping (aka salty crema or cheese foam at other places). The topping was very good. The black sesame waffle was cooked fresh and given to me crispy and hot in a cup. The texture was very good, but the sesame flavor was kind of mild. It seemed to have more a black sesame color effect a black sesame flavor. Staff was really nice though when I asked a bunch of questions about the menu.

I like the #1 brown sugar milk tea with coffee jelly. You can pick your sugar and ice level of 0 to 30%, 50%, 70%, or 100%. I also like the matcha milk tea. There are so many different flavours of tea, smoothies, and milk tea from fruity to milk. It took a few different tries till I found the ones that I liked.

Great efficient service and good bubble tea. Establishment is very clean too! I chose the Taro milk tea with half red bean and half boba. Super good!

It was okay. Ordered the green tea one and it was way too icy and bland. Don't know if I would go again considering there are so many other bubble tea locations that are done perfectly each time.
