Excellent meal for valentines evening. Outstanding service with great value for money. We will definitely be returning.

Really enjoyable meal and definitely worth a visit. From outside La Taverna doesn't look particularly spectacular but really nice inside and a good atmosphere with friendly but professional service. The food was excellent nothing wildly or unnecessarily flamboyant or spectacular, but everything absolutely delicious, some great quality ingredients, and super tasty. My goats cheese cheese starter was absolutely brilliant. Great value as well.

We were staying at the hotel next door and decided to dine at this restaurant. Upon arrival, the restaurant was quiet with only one other couple dining. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken. The hostess was friendly and the atmosphere of the place was warm and inviting. The service was excellent and remained consistent even as the restaurant became busier. The restaurant had a rustic and cozy feel, reminiscent of a charming place we once visited in Little Italy, NYC. We both enjoyed the Pollo Nostro dish, which was delicious. My only complaint was that I opted for fries as a side dish and wished I had chosen pasta instead. For dessert, we had the chocolate fudge cake with cream, which was warm and tasty. The bill was a pleasant surprise, coming to only £65 for both of us, including drinks. Overall, it was a wonderful evening with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. We would definitely return in the future.

The Italian food at this restaurant is superbly cooked and authentic. The mushroom starter and Palma ham were delightful. The pizzas were top-notch, cooked to perfection. The authentic desserts rounded off the meal perfectly. The service was good. I will definitely return to this restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant, lovely relaxed vibe ,serving fine quality food at a very reasonable price , service attentive but not overbearing , would definitely go back and recommend.
