Restaurant bewertenI recommend this restaurant. we are very good; prices are reasonable ever recommended ce restaurant on y mange très bien pour des prix imbattables.
Charming village restaurant, where they get good food for reasonable money (which probably won’t be the case in the tourist conques near.) especially the lamb sweet (riz d’agneau) with forrest mushrooms was delicious. However, the commands were somewhat faulty. my artichoke was chewy and filled with fibers and canned. but otherwise good value for money and charming atmosphere and friendly service.
First it went to chez marie 10 years ago we were recommended and too right so . since several occasions were and the standard never slipped. please tell them yesterday was not another very good traditional French tariff too very cheap trips in...a very pleasant restaurant
On the search for a lunch we discovered chez marie when we drove through the village and stopped there. the restaurant was quite full, which was a good sign. the service was very slow, though we couldn't blame the waitress who was cheerful and helpful, but was completely overhauled, as she was the only one in service. our lunch was mixed. I had a kind of cheap steak that was hard like a boot. on the other side, my wife had a mushroom omelet that was delicious. restaurants in the surroundings are not plentiful so we return a few days later to dinner. this time I had the omelette that was delicious again, and all the others in our group of four were very happy with their food. also the wee was excellent. the prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was cheerful, and we all enjoyed the evening. Although our first experience was a little negatiw, we have relaxed this place and would come to dinner again in the evening.
It took us some time to discover Chez Marie in Grand Varbre, thanks to the recommendation of a friend. You might easily pass it by, but this would be a mistake. .We rent a holiday house about 15 minutes drive away or we can...walk there over the hills. They are friendly and welcoming and efficient and the food is very much of the region, completely unpretentious but accurately made and very reasonably priced. We specially like Tuesdays, which is couscous night; you'd better have spent the day ploughing beforehand to finish the piles of meat provided. There's a large dining room and a fairly big terrace outside; on one occasion, we were seated outside when a tremendous storm blew up out of nowhere and we were re-seated snugly inside within seconds as the rain began to lash down. This probably happens several times a year, as does the regular extinction of the lights (they quickly come back on, usually). We have been quite large parties there, and the excellent and energetic waitresses do not bat an eyelid. Strongly recommended.
