Restaurant bewertenWe visited Akira for the first time this past Monday with our friends. To start, we had the Karaage Chicken as an appetizer, and the chicken was very hot and fresh. It came with a siracha mayo and cucumber dipping sauce. For our meals, my husband got the Volcano Ramen. The soup was very flavorful and spicy; I wish I had gotten it as well. However, I decided to try out the sushi and ordered the Volcano Roll and Salmon Lover Roll. The Salmon Lover Roll was hard to get through... It had an off flavor that I couldn 't quite describe. We have had similar sushi rolls in the past and loved them, but this roll was just not very good. The Volcano Roll was very tasty and loved the crunchy from it being deep fried. Our server was very nice, but my sushi did take a while to come out to the table. The rest of our table was halfway done with their ramen by the time my first roll came out. Then when my second roll came out, half the table was already done eating.Overall, we had a good experience in Akira. However, wish our food had come out together. I definitely will order ramen instead of sushi during our next visit.
This was disappointing, as the akira in white marsh was so good. The rolls here were not good, I got a vegetable roll and it had no flavor. Also we ordered spring rolls and only got 2 rolls which for $6 was very upsetting. The pickup order was not ready when we were told to pick it up, though I imagine they were
I went here to eat dinner with my family and the food was great! I got the cold soba tempura entree, okonomiyaki, and scallop appetizer. The okonomiyaki and scallops were great starters. The okonomiyaki came to our table sizzling hot and tasted awesome. While the scallops had a refreshing and clean taste. As for the noodles, the noodles were accompanied nicely with the dipping sauce, poached egg, and fresh tempura. Lastly, I felt that the service was quick and very polite. Would definitely come here again.
Nice Ramen shop to stop by and they actually play J Pop. The food is good, but the service is sub par from grrat in anyway. The atmosphere would be perfect with some smiles at least. My prices are estimates, but it was a total of 50.00 which is fairly good for how much we ate. Serving Huge issue with me, the staff and even cooks needs to learn/train to hold and pull dishes. My server held the plates with his thumb on the center, I had to wipe it clean. Then serving our fries, same server, nearly is touching our fries with his finger becuase how he is holding the plate, absolutely NO! Then I see the cooks grab the Ramen bowls with palm in the inner bowl, it was just not sanitary that way, its basic food training. They need like a SafeServ certificate or something… No high quality restaurant would dare serve food that way.Service Staff need to smile a bit, I don't care how your day is going, but if your going to work, at least put some effort into it, especially if you want tip. It goes a long way, 100% of my tip amount comes from service, if you show me you care, you get tip, if not, you getting less than 10% or nothing. No one chatted or talked, no nice greetings or anything, didn't feel warm.Chicken Broth Ramen with Kara Age Side (15.50) It taste like chicken broth ramen, I liked it a lot as it was good, noodles were good, toppings were just right. The Kara age was good too, but they used more fattier pieces with mine.Akira Ramen (14.50) I partner enjoyed the pork broth ramen, simple and nice ramen, soft and tender. If your a ramen lover, you should be fine here.Salmon Lover Roll (13.50) Very generous portion of salmon, loved it. Lots of salmon and good mixture of fancy ingredients.Fries (6.00) It tasted like french fries, so uts good enough.Everything is good here, just the service needs some work.
