Restaurant bewertenThe food lacks flavor compared to before, and the portions seem to be getting smaller. We've been patrons of this restaurant for over 23 years and always recommended it, but we've noticed a decline in the quality of the food. I'm not sure if there are new owners, but something seems to have changed.
The atmosphere feels somewhat like a small bodega turned into a counter-service restaurant. You grab your own drinks from the cooler, similar to what you'd find at a 7-11. There isn't much seating available, but the food was surprisingly good. It was a bit on the expensive side, though these days, what isn't? The cuisine seemed authentic. The waitress was attentive and friendly, sporting a lovely smile. Fortunately, I was with two other women who spoke Spanish fluently, which was a great help when navigating the menu.
I often dine there with my coworkers and sometimes with my family, and I have never had any complaints. Those who do complain usually don't even know how to cook at home. For me, the food is consistently good, the service is always excellent, and the beers are always cold. I've been going there since 1999 and have never been disappointed. To those who seem to complain about everything: perhaps you should stay home and cook instead of criticizing every restaurant. Period. Long live Mexico!
Great little place. The Aguachili was excellent. I will be back.
