À La Table du Général

Overpriced menu. service disappointing. food quality, very fraudulent! very small portions. drinks are overpriced and limited choice.

We have a home in the vaucluse and after the curly down in london we were on the way there. we stayed and dined in this hotel last year and that was our first meal in a restaurant for over three months. we were not wisely disappointed. it was a wonderful evening dinner with three excellent glasses very economical champagne from a local weinberg. perfect service and every dish original and tasty. legally we had to breakfast in our room and that was a bit disappointing as we had to call the hotel to do our orders. we look forward to the return.

We came to dinner with great expectations, but this was already warmed when we saw the prices on the menu: starter from 35€, main courses (e.g. cannon) for 60€. this could be justified by the quality of eating, but it was without saying anything...more about it. there were no flowers or candles on the tables and we hardly saw a maitre d’hotel. we also stayed in the hotel, but we did not get a bottle of water in the room and the coffee maker was only soluble nescaffe. the view was embellished in the

The second time we have stayed. Lovely room Overlooking the countryside. Staff very welcoming. Dinner in the evening outstanding. Breakfast good as well.

Very disappointing restauarant. Apparently the Chef/Owner hopes to gain his 2nd Michelin Star shortly but unless the Michelin judges have no taste buds are happy with very poor service he has no chance! We read good reviews of this restaurant on Trip advisor ...had high expectations. However the only thing which is 'high ' is the prices, which would be OK if the chef knew how to create good food the staff knew how to provide decent service! In anticipation of a memorable meal we ordered the Menu du Printemps but there was almost nothing 'spring ' about it. Some dishes actually looked really good were nicely preseneted but the flavours simply didn 't work. Others were just totally tasteless. We have eaten at many Michelin rosette resataunants all over the world this is one of the most pretentious but almost totally tasteless ones with quite possibly the worst service. At €300 for 2 people with one bottle of average wine we couldn 't recommend this reastauarant to anyone nice rooms a lovely setting location, ruined by a very poor chef even worse service!
