Restaurant bewertenPretty much an average lunch menu. Restaurant is fairly new to town as this place had changed ownership too often. Great owner now. Great service. Really good soups.
We stayed at the Coaldale Inn and on the first night decided to eat in town and not have to drive too far after being so tired and hot from the drive we took to get there. We each ordered something different. I had the noodle dish. So good. Not spicy enough - but that was my fault for not asking for spicy hot. The chicken was tender and the service was so amenable. She was engaging, interesting and kind. We enjoyed the experience. It felt like home.
I loved everything about this very reasonably priced $12 breakfast. The perfectly cooked three egg omelet was stuffed and I mean STUFFED with cheese, sausage and veggies, the home fries were slathered with cheese and ultra crispy, and even the toast was beautifully done! I'm a total coffee snob and I thought that their bottomless cup was a 8/10! The location in the front of a hotel is very spacious and comfortable as long as you're ok with 90s decor. However, you don't have to worry about the state of the place as it is very well kept and the dining area and booths are spotlessly clean as are the washrooms. There is a lot of parking directly in front of the place and although it is right across a busy highway from double rail tracks, it is very quiet and peaceful inside. The service was prompt, friendly and professional in every respect. I do have to fault the management a bit for not turning up the thermostat a bit more as it was downright chilly inside (albeit on a day when it was -15C outdoors). Regardless, it is likely the best breakfast between Taber and Lethbridge!
Great Gluten free pasta, extremely friendly wonderful food. This is a Fantastic place to stop. It is on the east end of coaldale on the south side of the road. Prices are decent for the meal provided. Service is excellent.
Living in Coaldale, we like to support local hometown businesses. My family and I have frequented Franco's and will return. I have had several items on the menu- their prime rib is divine as was the chicken burger I recently had. Their menu could use a few more options, but what they have is good. The kids mac n cheese is homemade and delicious. A community minded restaurant!
