Restaurant bewertenOn Wednesday, my friend and I returned, only to discover they were closed again, with no prior notice or social media updates indicating this. My friend was frustrated, but I decided to try once more on September 2nd, only to find them closed again. Upon checking their social media, I saw that they would be closed for several more days; this update was posted just a few hours after they were supposed to open. At no point did their website or voicemail indicate that they were shut down. Pearl’s Kitchen has been negligent in notifying customers about their closures on social media. While it's good that they've finally acknowledged their closing days, it doesn't help those of us who have already gone without any notice for at least four days. I used to visit often for lunch, but this lack of professionalism is quite disheartening. I suspect others have had similar experiences trying to dine there. I hope they learn from this and provide better notifications about their hours on their website, through voicemail, and via social media. I wasted three days driving 30 minutes each way—a total of three hours—only to find the restaurant consistently closed. What a huge disappointment!
I tried to visit this restaurant for three consecutive days. On Monday, the restaurant next door informed me that Pearl’s is closed, although their voicemail and website state that they are open. I returned on Tuesday, only to see a social media post shortly after their supposed opening time indicating that the restaurant wouldn’t be open. Now, on Wednesday, I’ve come again, and no one is here, with no information about their hours available. I understand that businesses can be understaffed due to the impact of COVID-19; however, failing to communicate their operating status for three days in a row feels quite unprofessional.
Another must-try is the Cajun Chicken Pasta, which includes blackened chicken, paprika, and mushrooms served over perfectly cooked penne, all drizzled with a delicious creamy Cajun sauce. It’s another hearty comfort meal that hits the spot! Keep in mind that depending on the crowd, service can be incredibly fast or a bit slower, as there are typically only one or two employees working at a time. Be patient if you have to wait! The place is cozy, with plenty of seating, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. For the best experience, I recommend calling ahead with your order to get an estimated wait time—this way, you can plan your visit accordingly. Pearl’s Kitchen is a fantastic addition to the Ohio City dining scene where I live!
Closed 4 days in order! my friend and I really love the garnel and grotten and since we were on vacation this week, we decided to go to our favourite place to get it. on Monday we traveled there, there were several customers waiting outside only for the neighboring restaurant to say that pearl’s did not open on Monday, although the voicemail of the website and the social media page otherwise says. we went back on Tuesday, just to see a contribution that says they were closed, but the contribution was published hours after their opening. Wednesday we said 3 times the charm good no such luck the restaurant was in the did not open. Today we called and still have no answer. I am very disappointed about the way this business is being operated. I might add that we sent dms and emails that request every day to see the hours of the operation.
I got shrimp and grits, cajun butter fries and bread pudding. I was pleased with the amount of shrimp and sausage in the grits and the portion was good. The fries were delicious. The bread pudding had a few burned pieces but it was still good. I was surprised that they brought the dessert out first but no biggie. I would recommend this place. They have great customer service! If you come here, know that the music is loud, but they can't control that. The artwork was interesting!
