Moe's Southwest Grill - Clemson

During my visit, I found the floor to be littered with chips, the serving counters stained with spilled food, and the drink machine coated in a thick layer of grime and dust that suggested it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Overall, the place felt quite unappealing. I’m hesitant to even eat my takeout. This was my first experience here, and it's likely to be my last. Seneca, SC.

I waited over three minutes before anyone acknowledged me, even though there was only one customer at the register and several staff members nearby. It was only when another employee came from the back that my order was finally taken. Once my order started, everything went smoothly. I also noticed that the tip prompt had been removed from the pin pad, which I appreciated. While I don’t mind tip jars for cash, having a prompt at a fast-food restaurant can create pressure to tip or lead to awkward situations if I choose not to, as happened today. As with my previous visits to Moe's, the food was quite good and met my expectations.

The food at this restaurant is quite enjoyable, but I've frequently encountered issues with pickup times. They often don't have the orders ready when expected, and when I use DoorDash, my orders are frequently incomplete. Today, one meal was completely missing, and only half of two other meals were included. I'm bringing this up as it has been a recurring problem. I hope management can address these issues soon.

Why do I keep coming back to Moe's? I genuinely want to enjoy it, but I've only had a good experience once. The rice is often undercooked, and the pico de gallo seems to get spicier every time I visit. I prefer pico since traditional salsa is usually too hot for me. Tonight, after just three bites, my mouth and lips were burning, and I had to stop eating. Honestly, they should definitely consider adding a spice warning! We spent $26 on three meals, and only my son was able to actually eat his. I won’t be returning to Moe's; it’s simply not worth the discomfort and disappointment.

The service was excellent, and the staff member showed remarkable patience with each of our kids as they chose their taco fillings. This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a meal—it's clean and runs smoothly!
