Restaurant bewertenEating is excellent and the owner is always there to make sure that everything is in top condition. so clean, beautiful baths, friendly staff and beautiful, peaceful environment. I recommend here for authentic French cuisine. visit is a must if they travel through jerome, clarkdale or even sedona.
This is a neat spot as a train caboose turned restaurant. The reason for the 3 stars is complicated. If the place had plates, silverware and a brick and mortar restaurant, it could be a 4 star, I think. The meals were good as it was breakfast and everything was fine. The avocado toast with tomato and eggs was as expected. The Crouque Madame was okay. I was probably the first chef to have the Crouque Monsieur on a menu out here in Northern Arizona and I'm always looking for one to sample. The Paris in Las Vegas has a decent one, this one was not as good. The meals come plated with some greens and on a paper plate. If you're looking for a quaint spot, coffee, latte and smallish servings, this is the place. In reality, 2 small breakfast sandwiches, a cinnamon roll with 2 coffees for $45 is too expensive. We'll be back by default because this area lacks these kinds of places. Complicated...
My wife and I were visiting the City of Clarkdale AZ (a quaint little town with beautiful people and big hearts) and we were recommended to eat at Violettes Bakery Cafe. Located at the northwest corner of Main Street and N 9th Street, the Caboose is a wonderful site to see and greet incoming visitors to the cafe. We ordered the Avocado and Croissant sandwich and both were tasty and delicious superb! The matcha tea was hot and a perfect match with the Earl Gray Cake for breakfast. Everything was great and perfect. I salute my fellow veterans (i.e., Jeffrey, Tommy, Bob, Lee, Tom, etc. just to name a few) who I met and had a great time. Because of them, we were able to met Amber the wonderful chef and owner of the establishment. In summary, my wife and I had a great time eating at Violettes Bakery Cafe. I highly recommend this establishment when visiting and passing by this beautiful city. You will never regret it!
Violette's is always a pleasure to visit. My sister and I make it a point to drive up at least once a month to get brunch with our pups.Violette herself is a very nice person and is at the cafe tending to the guests.
Update: On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, I arrived around 9 AM to find the place bustling with people; most of the outdoor tables were full, and there was a line of customers. This is a wonderful sign for the owner, Amber. She prepares phenomenal pastries and offers French cuisine, including dishes like Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame, which I still need to try but hope to do so in the future. This morning, I ordered some delightful pastries—two scones and a chocolate croissant. The pecan and brown sugar pastry is the most delicious treat I've ever had, even better than what I enjoyed during a visit to Britain! It’s buttery and sweet, melting in your mouth—it’s wonderful! During my visit, I could also hear what sounded like music from the 1920s or 1930s, which I loved. Although I’m not a fan of crowds, I can't help but recommend this place to others. If you're ever in Old Town Clarkdale, be sure to stop by for an amazing culinary experience. It’s truly a blessing—Bon appétit!
