Restaurant bewertenThis was a great place recommended by a few different people in CDMX. I have celiac disease and get nervous when I travel in new places and eat. The chips are naturally gluten-free. And I had 3 different types of sopes. My recommendation is to get them without the Bistec because the steak is big and hard to chew in bites for a sope. The Picadillo is different than I used to live in Texas. But the food is good, lots of gluten-free options, beautiful atmosphere, the food came fast and great prices!
La casa de Toño is a chain of great basic Mexican food and my favorite place. I actually ate in one of 2 places in the Zona Rosa tent there for the first time as a celiac and recognized it is basically totally free gluten, as it is only corn tortillas no flour) and while there is bread it is completely separated and not fried. So they basically dedicated Friyers. Although I had all my food from the grill. Pozzole made with Hominy Mais) is my favorite soup!
Been to several all over town and they have a consistent standard. They do serve molletes and pan dulce but almost no one gets those so I’ve never had cc in about 10-15 visits. Sopes, flautas, tostadas, enchiladas, enfrijoladas, pozole all good.
