Recently reopened, this hidden gem of a pub is a beautiful place to spend an evening directly on the Charing Cross Road. The team was extremely friendly, and I overheard many old locals and said how happy they were to have the pub open again. Some decorations have been made, but the pub has preserved its charm, touched with a lot of eclectic design, neon lights (more to come I tell), and convenient but quirky furniture. The drinks were tasty and carefully poured, and the food I saw was very pleasant. All in all, would definitely return for a pint or three soon!
At the end of a slightly uncompromising alley behind an old-fashioned façade that has to do with an elevator, there is a real find in the center of the London theatre country and close to a variety of interesting shops and attractions. The Royal George has a good mood and extremely friendly staff who make it their business to take care of your drinks and food requests. Would definitely recommend a way around this alley!
It can be a bit of a nightmare that tries to find a decent pub in this area of London. The Royal George is a hidden gem almost literally, as it is a small street hidden near the station. We had a nice time! Great food, great staff and a fantastic atmosphere. We're coming back!
Nice and cozy location in otherwise bustling London, very central. Sundays are less busy here than other days it seems eating was excellent and drinks were amazing. Will definitely return to my next visit to London!
