Restaurant bewertenI visited during restaurant week with some friends and I have to say, I will definitely be back! The entire meal was an incredible value. The soup was full of flavor, the veal was beautifully presented on the plate, and the tiramisu was the perfect finishing touch, showcasing the skill of a talented pastry chef.
They have a great lunch menu at very reasonable prices. I ordered the chicken marsala, which was delicious and well-prepared, accompanied by a salad and warm bread with butter or olive oil. The salad was fresh and came with a homemade Italian dressing. My friend had a glass of wine, which was also priced fairly. I highly recommend this charming family-run establishment for anyone seeking a romantic dinner or lunch. Sasha even showed us the beautifully decorated private room upstairs, which has its own bar. If you’re looking for a standard chain restaurant like Olive Garden or Applebee’s, then that’s fine. But if you appreciate an intimate dining experience with exceptional food, quick and friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere, this is the place to go. You won't regret it, and we’ll definitely be returning!
It certainly saw the part .a rustic little place that was comfortably decorated. but unfortunately the positive ends. after an incredibly long wait for eating, and bad wait personal service that finally arrived. it was the worst Italian food we had ever tasted! there were so many problems with this place that we could not recommend it. the people work hard for their money and earn to get what they pay .and should not leave a device feeling as if they were just being exploited what we felt. albany has many fine Italian edibles. that's just none of them!
We celebrated our son's upcoming wedding with a rehearsal dinner in the banquet room on the upper floor. The atmosphere was intimate and delightful. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. The food was out of this world. We had many guests from out of town included in the celebration, and they were all very impressed by both the meal and the service.
V R serves delicious, hearty Italian food. Its rival, Lombardo's, is directly across the street, and native Albanians debate which serves the best Italian fare. I prefer V R because of its quiet, intimate atmosphere and its classic marinara sauce. For dessert, try the ricotta cheesecake. It's light and fluffy and a nice alternative to the traditional tiramisu.
