Restaurant bewertenThis restaurant serves affordable vegetarian food from northern India. The ambience is busy since a line of customers picking up their food for take-home goes trough the restaurant. Nevertheless, the place is not too noisy, and the food on the menu is delicious. Vegan items are marked accordingly. 95% of the customers are Indian, so be prepared to feel like you are abroad. Updated from previous review on Sunday February 08, 2015
I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. With a budget of $20–30 per person, the meal exceeded my expectations. Food: 5/5 The standout dish for me was the Samosa Chaat, which was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. The presentation was also impressive, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Service: 4/5 The service was attentive and friendly, though there was a slight delay in getting our orders. However, the staff was knowledgeable and eager to help, which made up for the wait. Atmosphere: 4/5 The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable, providing a pleasant backdrop for our lunch. Overall, I highly recommend this place, especially the Samosa Chaat. It's a lovely spot for a satisfying meal!
The lunch special is priced at $8 and offers a variety of options. When I inquired whether the chana masala was vegan, they confirmed that it could be and noted "vegan" on my ticket. I'm not certain if it's always prepared as vegan or if they make it to order. Regardless, it was absolutely delicious! The meal included rice, bread, and seasoned carrots, making it quite filling. I can't wait to sample more of their dishes!
