Lazy Bear Cafe - Churchill

Service is poor, the server was rude day 1, better day 2 and 3. breakfast service was poor.

What a find in downtown Churchill. Went there with 29 other travelers on a Road Scholar trip in Oct 18. We put in our requests in advance and everyone got a hot wonderful lunch. Not easy serving that many and everyone got a separate check !

My husband and I had a great lunch here, consisting of a corned beef Reuben, arctic char melt, and sausage gumbo. The food was good and the service at lunch was pretty fast. We returned for dinner and had the pan fried arctic char entrees, which were pretty good. The dinner service took much longer than lunch though (the kitchen was backed up so we waited 45 mins for our entrees), so if you are in a hurry, you may opt to go here for lunch instead (though that may have been a rare occurrence at dinner). Cute restaurant decor with a red-eared slider turtle named Pickles swimming in a large tank by the lounge area. Nice gift shop inside also.

Stayed at Lazy Bear Lodge and ate at the cafe several times. Big variety for breakfast. Chili was great, service was great too!

Friendly helpful staff, reasonable menu, food was very good except for one meal I had tough ribs! Coffee good, dessert excellent.
