Sammy's Restaurant Bar - Chula Vista

Heard about this place from a friend and thought we'd try their pizza late at night. Service was slow and they didn't seem equipped for late night dining, but pizza although expensive is pretty darn good. Would try again, maybe it was a bad night for our server

*Update we tried Sammy's late night and unfortunately their service is poor. So try them during regular hours and you will love them. As they are new hopefully Sami will fix these kinks out for late night dining.Review During their First WeekWelcome to the South Bay Sammy's!If you didn't know Chula Vista is now home to Sammy's located in Casino 7 better known to many as Sammy's Woodfired Pizzas. This new location boasts Old Flavors and New Menu items to their classics. It is a beautiful restaurant, cozy and chic in modern surroundings an atmosphere with exceptional customer service.Today we celebrated 2 birthdays here in their gorgeous patio. I was excited to see their famous wood fired pizzas on the menu. Our group chose pizza, an amazing lobster bisque soup, a delightful Cobb salad and one person chose a breakfast sandwich.The pizza was delicious with a perfect crust, lobster bisque just yummy and how can you go wrong with a Cobb salad!Our server Tatiana was accommodating, quick and very friendly. She suprised us with 2 comped desserts given to us by Sami Ledki himself. We had a scrumptious Apple Pizza Pie a la mode and the ever so famous Messy Sundae.This is the place for a nice lunch, dinner and late night dining. They are open an unheard of 24 hours and I look forward to a return visit to try their new Asian Inspired Menu Items.

Had their Grilled Chicken and Basalmic Vinaigrette Salad today. It was totally yummy. The chicken breast was moist and they dressing was awesome. I already have another get together scheduled for Thursday. Yummy.

My 4 Stars are based on Pepe, food quality and taste. The food was good – very good I ordered a lobster bisque Soup, baguette turkey sandwich with house fries and coleslaw.Also ordered chicken Alfredo fettuccine, garlic chicken wings those were OK, chicken noodle soup which is also very good.The female server, I believe her name is Claudia. She was new and lacked attention to detail and no multitasking skills whatsoever, I felt as she had never waitressed. Simple things like utensils, napkins, spoons for the soup, refilling our water glasses, leaving us unattended for long periods of time. And she stuck her thumb inside my soup bowl, she didn’t seem to know how to grab the bowl properly. Overall her service was terrible and I give her half a star.Pepe, Mr. Do It ALL! Because of his attention we will return. The little extra effort that he made to make up for the lack of service from our server did not go unnoticed throughout the night he brought us appetizers’ and dessert on the house.And the **** Mary that took the waitress 20 minutes to never bring to the table LOL he made up for it by making a very strong **** Mary for us.In regards to the ambience and decor We loved it!

Food was excellent. Good recommendations by the waitress. Fast service. Clean and relax
