Disappointed! We had great meals in the past, not tonight. Ahi tuna app was average. I had the crab cakes and they were terrible. I was able to eat 3/4 of one only because I was very hungry, but probably the worst crab cake I have ever eaten. I could not eat the 2nd crab cake at all. I had my wife try, and she agreed they were very bad. I am not sure if they were old or nearly bad, they little to no flavor and left a bad aftertaste and the slight crust tasted like old oil or something. Carrots were tasteless with no sweetness at all. Baked potato was good. The wife had the trout and she said it was average at best. Service was ok. Waitress seemed very nice, but seemed overwhelmed. They may have been working short. We waited several minutes at the hostess desk before anyone showed up to greet and seat us. Bill was nearly $120 and def not worth it. Not sure we will be back.

Quiet ambiance which is nice so long as you don't have a loud mouth swearing person one stall (booth) over. Service was sparse, the kind of thing where you jump out of your chair if the server walks by to make sure you don't miss your chance. All of that said, the food was very good and, while expensive for the New River Valley, I felt it was priced reasonably.

It was a bitter cold night celebrating our anniversary, but the warmth and ambiance at The Farmhouse offered a quiet and private booth for an intimate dining experience. Our steaks were done to perfection. We started with a generous serving of onion rings (outstanding) and ended by sharing a crème brûlée (delicious, but skimpy portion). The size of the dessert did not diminish our experience and we will definitely return. Kudos to our server, Robert who was gracious and attentive.

Prime rib is always amazing. The little dinner rolls are so good. Our server was amazing. She checked on us often (you could get hidden in the little private booths) and always made sure our beverages were full. She was a delight! The young man who delivered our food was very kind as well.

Excellent visit as usual. Food/drinks were great, service was awesome. I do feel like maybe drink prices could be a little better but overall happy with our visit and will still come back!
